Good beer and service, but food not so good.

Food was decent. But our service was lacking. Our waitress was more interested in chatting with locals and people who were drinking alcoholic beverages than serving us. Long waits for bill, and refills.

so glad we found it, liked it so much, we're going again

the service was beyond slow. kitchen staff took far too long to have food ready. they had said that they were undergoing some changes to menu and cooks but even given that, it was unacceptable.

I've had many pleasant experiences at Great Bear Pub, however, the last time I went and used the groupon, I had horrible service. The server did not acknowledge us when we walked in. After waiting 15 minutes at the table, I finally got up and asked the manager for menus. The server that was supposed to be taking care of us walked right by us and went to clean the windows instead. Our wings took especially long (about 20 mins). The server wasn't very friendly and didn't seem like she wanted to serve us.

Service was poor, beer was cheap knock off version of the real thing or poor quality. Desserts were terrible. Food entrée's were pretty good. Since when does a ceaser have a pork rind, olive and sausage in it? Where's the celery?

Great potion sizes. Burger was a bit overdone and fries were fries, nothing special. wife had the fish and chips and we had no tartar, but other then that the meal was definably above average for a pub. Gotta keep that food-cost low =)

Their food is excellent with quick, efficient and friendly service. The ambience is very pleasant and during lunch hour it is very peaceful. They also offer a punch card for a free burger.

Keep up the good work.

About this Business

It’s hard to tell what’s more awe-inspiring: a 150-inch high-definition TV screen ablaze with a heated sports game or a 6-ounce beef burger patty towering with bacon, danish blue cheese, and blue-cheese mayo. Great Bear Pub lures patrons into its dark-wood restaurant with both of these treats, along with four other signature burgers, more than 20 craft beers, and a slate-stone outdoor dining area lined with televisions of its own. Patrons dig into internationally inspired eats, such as jamaican steak bites and cheese-stuffed pierogi, or stop in for a quick lunch that's prepared and presented in less than 10 minutes. The sophisticated pub also hosts live entertainment six nights a week, and sits alongside its own liquor store to ensure dry pint glasses don’t stage political revolts.
