Studio Nine School of Music
The instructors have been great at teaching my 6 year old how to play guitar. Patient and lessons are geared to student capability. We've stayed after trying out their service using the Groupon.
I used groupon for Studio Nine last year for my kids. They had such a fabulous time singing with Dr Suzanne that I decided to give it a try myself!
The attention in the business is unbelievable. They are very friendly and the classes they provide are great.
Studio Nine is extremely non flexible in making any change to an appointment time. (Once booked at a specific date and time it must be used at that exact time each week). The rationale for this current process is not vaild- the secretary will 'talk in circles' for lack of better words but they really do not have a valid reason for being unable to make changes). After the first lesson, I was considering continuing to go to studio nine to continue paying for lessons after the groupon is done), however due to inflexibility I will seek elsewhere for continued music lessons. Very unaccommodating (and I attempted to be professional and responsible by calling almost a week in advance of the next appointment ie, not like I was trying to call the day before or the day of).
The receptionist had made two comments that were something like this "How did you get that Groupon?" "What is the expiry date?" " We are not supposed to be on there anymore, I will have to talk to so and so".... This is making me uncomfortable. While I was there last time I heard one of the instructors implore "They paid for two months of lessons" regarding some other customer and she said " We won't talk about that now I will have to talk to so and so" (I forget the name she said, it sounds like the boss) I hope they honour the full two months! We have only had one lesson so far.
It would be nice to have a bigger selection of guitar equipment for sale.
