We enjoyed the class the chef was not as friendly as we would have liked but had a lot of knowledge. Good value for money.
Our big disappointment was that no actual cooking is done you just prepare and then cook at home. I has done a class somewhere else where we cooked and ate some of the food as a group a lot more of a social event.
This was a very pleasant experience that I shared with my daughter. We found her very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging.
My husband and I went we had a great time. The pizza was delicious and the instructor was amazing!
This is NOT a cooking class. This is a prep class. The Spice Chica and Groupon lead you to believe this is a cooking class - so you go hungry, to find out that you only prep the gnocchi and the tiramisu. We did this class in a paint studio. We were very disappointed. The instructor also used cool whip to make tiramisu ... but this is claimed to be a true, authentic class. I would not have bought this groupon if I had known there was no actual cooking to be done. I would also recommend reading google reviews before you purchase anything as google has very honest reviews, and had we done that, I would not be writing this review.
The concept of the class was great, but we didn't really get too much guidance on the pasta making. Also felt like rather than just mention the ingredients we should be using, we should just use them...for example the 00 flour.
It was a great way to enjoy some time with my Grand daughter
We thoroughly enjoyed The Spice Chica cooking class. It was fun , easy to follow, plenty of space for us to move around. A great hour of fun and entertainment!
Fantastic class. Very very fun.
We had a blast! The instructorwas funny and very accomodating to dietary restrictions.
It was a really fun class. Very informative! Helped me learn a skill I never thought I’d have.
From Our Editors
The Spice Chica brings the joy of cooking to kitchens across the region. Not only does The Spice Chica teach students the basic of international dishes but shows them how much fun cooking and prepping can be. Students have fun making pasta, pizza, tacos (depending on the class) and much more with their partner, friends, parents or children. If time permits, chefs teach how to inject spices into cooking; all with custom-blended spices that are in resealable pouches that contain scents and flavours from around the world. Guests can try the indian-curry-spice pack on a rice or veggie dish or sprinkle some of the italian-spice pack on pizza or salad. Classes are prep and take home.
