We are so glad we discovered this winery and joined their fantastic wine club, after using our Groupon. We do feel that they could greatly improve their food, since they are marketing it as an up-sell, and great food would really compliment their great wine. Serving chocolate with the wine is smart, and a higher quality, dairy free chocolate would pair better. We will definitely enjoy our wine!

I had passed by the Mill Lane sign a number of times but had never stopped. I love this place. It has a real homey feel and the employees are fabulous. They were very friendly personable. Considering doing the wine tasting again but this time will round up a bigger group. The wine is delicious!!

Mill Lane Winery is a bit of a drive for us, so the only reason that we went was because I purchased the Groupon for my mom. We went last weekend and I am happy to say that we will definitely be making the drive to return in future. We've already planned our next trip and who we will bring with us! The wine was amazing; think fruity and sweet but if sweet isn't to your liking you can try some of their reds for a less sweet taste. The staff was absolutely awesome. It is a small, family owned winery and they make you feel so welcomed! So glad we went.

This place is a grass-roots, just stating out establishment...nothing fancy. Not even enough parking. And you can easily miss the little sign at the road side. BUT, they have friendly staff and they have excellent wines.

At first was difficult to get an appointment. People are great and accepted our groupon even though it had expired. Fun place with good tasting fruit wines, not for wine snobs though.

From Our Editors

The unmistakable aromas of Yakima cherries, Greenbluff peaches, and Olympia strawberries perform a delicate parade across palates at Mill Lane Winery. The winery harvests and ferments berries and orchard fruit grown in Washington State, crafting wines that evoke the flavors of freshly picked fruit straight from the fields.

After moving to Tenino from Eastern Washington, Dan and Deana Ferris decided to transform their hobby of home winemaking and their passion for Pacific Northwestern fruit into a business by opening a winery. The entire family pitches in: the children help harvest the fruit each year and Dan and Deana continue to experiment with new winemaking techniques as they hope to capture the pure flavors of everything from locally grown fruits to imported Hawaiian pineapples. These fruits even appear in the winery's traditional, grape-based red and white table wines, each of which honors Dan's 40 years of experience as a basketball referee with names such as Point Guard, In Your Face, and Strawberry Wine, named after Darryl Strawberry Jr.'s Croatian League basketball career.

Although winemaking consumes most of the couple's time and energy, they also operate a smokehouse that allows Dan to continue processing and flavoring wild game.
