Comfortable environment. Good pub food. Great jazz twice each week.
great atmosphere and incredibly good food. definitely going back for more gumbo and muffeletta
Had the crab bisque and it was dee-lish!
The service could not have been kinder, but the food was a bit lacking. She explained to us (without our asking) that she had lost her chef and was doing her best without.
Varied menu with a New Orleans vibe. Excellent food and friendly service.
Friendly, great drink selection, and super efficient despite having just 1 staff. Awesome Jazz night on Mondays. I was able to do takeout with the groupon. If only they still have their pizzas...
Great new spot in downtown Chapel Hill. Food is good, great drink selection, friendly staff. Am looking forward to making it a regular hangout.
While they are between chefs right now, what they are able to offer is delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed.
From Our Editors
Mandey Brown already delivered one of Chapel Hill's favorite funky spots with Zog's Art Bar & Pool Hall. Now, just one floor below, she's joined forces with business parter Jedd Tyler, and they're hoping lightning strikes twice with Imbibe, a restaurant, taproom, and bottle shop. It's a chill hangout where guests can ask the bartender to recommend a beer, wine, cider, or cold coffee from the copper taps. Or you can peruse the shelves and coolers for bottles of wine, sake, or 22-ounce beers to crack open—no corkage fee required.
Imbibe's casual menu reflects a commitment to mixing and matching globe-trotting influences. Innovative offerings include gumbo-topped Filthy Fries, paneer tacos, and the Thai Me a River pizza with peanut curry sauce. Periodic educational events will help you learn more about wine and beer from knowledgable experts.
