From Our Editors
Artists can let their work speak for them when it's displayed in galleries, but they have to do their fair share of talking at the Charlotte Fine Art Show. Local, national, and international artists alike attend the event, where they answer attendees' questions about their original, handmade work. From painting and photographs to sculptures and jewelry, about 100 entries are ranked by a jury of art professionals, which honors the show's best work with cash prizes.
All pieces are available for purchase, and in some cases the show is the only time these items will appear in North Carolina, unless North Carolina grows so big it takes over the entire world. When they aren't exhibiting their work, artists walk audiences through their creative processes during art demonstrations.
