Barbara Haughey, the healing hands behind Haughey Physical Therapy, focuses the spotlight on pelvic and spine health, taking several approaches to diagnose and treat pain and dysfunction in these regions. She turns to traditional methods like therapeutic exercise as well as alternative methods, including myofascial massage and biofeedback therapy. During the dry needling procedure, for example, she inserts very thin needles in the skin to stimulate trigger points, thereby easing pain and enhancing mobility. She also extends wellness beyond the clinic, educating clients on how to improve and maintain wellness at home.
