Brian Marion went to the chiropractor for the first time after an ice-hockey mishap injured his lower back. In addition to healing his ailments, the treatments improved his athletic performance. Having experienced the benefits of the chiropractic practice firsthand, he went on to study movement science at the University of Michigan's School of Kinesiology. With that educational foundation in place, he earned his doctorate at Logan College of Chiropractic.
Now he practices at Lincoln Park Chiropractic, where he works frequently with dancers of the Joffrey Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance of Chicago. A specialist in Active Release Techniques, Dr. Marion blends soft-tissue treatments with chiropractic manipulations to ease overused or injured muscles and tendons. He's also certified in Kinesio Taping. This therapeutic tool gained popularity during the 2012 Olympics, where athletes used it to improve their balance and strap rearview mirrors to their shoulders.
