The folks at Mike’s Smokehouse pride themselves on crafting old-school barbecue that trades flashiness for smoky flavor. The space itself, a rustic-cabin-like structure with wood logs and repurposed decor, echoes that approach, and the meats justify it: hand-pulled pork, specialty brisket, and racks of ribs served with Texas toast and sides like fried okra. Of course, just because Mike's pit masters are dedicated to doing things the old-fashioned way doesn't mean the kitchen can't get a little creative. Unique items include barbecue nachos and quesadillas, or barbecue egg rolls stuffed with pork and spicy slaw.
