They were closed before I could use my Groupon. Before that I loved the place
We ordered our food to go. The BBQ was very dry and we had to add sauce. The Mac and cheese was also dry and very bland with hardly any cheese flavor on the noodles. I could eat here again, but don't know that I would ever seek it out as a place I must stop for dinner.
Great food. Spend 3 dollars each and we ate like kings... going back next week
Rip off! "David" states a pound of bbq pork, and chicken is a "special". He refused to use my groupon to take out a pound of pork and a pound of chicken. He has a terrible attitude toward GROUPON.
Everything was great. However, one suggestion on the deviled eggs. Make sure the ice is off before bringing them out.
The staff was friendly, but we ordered our food to go. Upon arrival of our hotel, my daughter found that her bread contained mold. That then made us wonder what else could have had mold on it.
I hope we don't get sick.
The service was very good and no wait.
As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, the smoke and smell told us this would be a good experience. We're really particular about pulled pork and this was very moist, delicious and with good smoky flavor. There is not a wide choice of sides but we chose potato salad and baked beans. The baked beans were soupy and good and the potato salad was also good. Both sides tasted home made. Our only complaint was about the cornbread as it was really overly dry to our tastes and needs to be improved upon. (reason for four stars rather than 5). Everything else was great and we will definitely return as the 'que was excellent.
Very kind family. The banana pudding was very good.
The food was good, however, there seemed to be a bit of confusion about using the Groupon. The waitress said the manager would have to "figure it out" whatever that meant. It then took about 10 minutes or more before we saw the waitress again. Never had that experience with a Groupon before.

Very quick and friendly service! Great food!

They say it's hard to keep a good man down, but it's even harder to keep a good recipe to yourself. Since 1949 the Sweeney family—starting with W.D. "Dee" Sweeney—has been cooking up some of the tastiest Tennessee barbecue around. Each time Dee thought he was ready to retire, in the '60s, '70s, and '80s, he decided he couldn't keep his signature style to himself, a tradition even his son David carried on when he took the helm in 1995.
Now in it's most recent incarnation as Sportsmans BBQ, the family tradition continues on and strong. Barbecue pork, beef, and chicken are smoked each day, filling plates or hearty sandwiches.
