Brick walls. Exposed beams. Rustic wood floors. CrossTrain Fitness’s gym space has all of the trappings of an art gallery or a penthouse loft; instead, serious workouts take place here. Inspired by CrossFit, coaches guide groups of exercisers through a scalable, ever-changing cross-training regimen designed to boost speed, strength, and coordination more safely than sprinting across a tightrope while carrying an anvil in each hand. They also provide one-on-one training and group training, which gives the added benefit of camaraderie and support from friends or family members who also participate.
