To be quite honest, the meat of the lamb souvlaki was extremely tough and the gyro was rather "tasteless". I had heard good things about this place, but I was not at all impressed.

The food was really tasty, it is hard to find a good gyro outside of a church bazaar. The staff was friendly and Daniel came out from behind the counter to greet me and my family. It is definitely worth a visit.

Having Greek food at home spoilef us. ut the. Fakkes, or le til soup, tadtef just like my mom's. zGrape leaves for me can be very tricky. but pita dis a good job. They covered them with avgolemono sauce (egg, lemon) just like I grew up with. So if you're a picky Greek and feel like a little home style cooki g in a pinch, go to Pita"s!

From Our Editors

Peter and Sophia Tsianakas and Daniel and Alexa Lyons are the couples behind Pita, which serves a selection of fast-casual Greek food. The most notable items on the menu, however, are the gyros, made by slow cooking seasoned meat on a vertical rotisserie. Check out a few of Pita's takes on this traditional Greek dish.

  • The Fiery Greek: A choice of gyro meat is paired with onions, tomatoes, and tirokafteri, a spicy, feta-based spread.
  • The Veggie: Zucchini fritters, onions, and tomatoes are finished with tzatziki for a vegetarian option.
  • The Sriracha: Tender meat, tomatoes, lettuce, feta cheese, and sweet, spicy sriracha sauce fill this gyro.
