From Our Editors

Late into the evening—whether revelers crave a midnight snack or another round—Arturo’s Tacos is a popular final destination, and for good reason: “margaritas come in goblets sized for Henry VIII,” said a reviewer for the Chicago Reader, and they make the perfect companion for a plate heaped with classic Mexican fare. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day, which explains the lengthy menu. Huevos rancheros, pancakes, and eggs with Mexican sausage give way to tacos, burritos, fajitas, and flautas—flute-shaped tacos filled with ground beef, chicken, or the sheet music to the Oscar Meyer theme song.
