I went in to buy food for my moms birthday we were having at her house. We were very intrigued by the menu. Let alone there is no parking, they say to park in the Walgreens lot across that very busy middle of the street. We were waiting at least an hour for our order. They must ;of ran out of something and the cook must have went to the store. I say that because the Italian beefs were two different ones. We ordered four beefs and two chicken sandwiches. It took almost an hour to get so they offered us My daughter and i some. Chicken soup. the soup was very good they were friendly but the beefs were not so good.

Nice staff, a little ghetto fab with the thuggish rap music on blast. Probably wouldn't take my mom, but I'd order takeout.

Sandwitches and pizza were very good. Service was great. Desserts however would not recommend.

From Our Editors

Jose Lopez got his first job in a pizza kitchen when he was merely 14 and rocketed through the ranks to general manager of several restaurants. He realized, however, that the only way to make the restaurant he really wanted to work for was to start his own joint, so he opened Chicago Goodfellas Pizzeria. He serves deep-dish pizzas, classic Italian-style pastas, and hot sandwiches in his warmly lit, wood-paneled dining room, the scattered red tiles on the floor reminiscent of pepperonis on a pie or the way a kitchen looks after a good sauce fight.
