Lunch in the Loop can be a difficult task. Long lines, chain restaurants, and lengthy treks in the pedway. That’s where Rich Levy comes in, driving one of Haute Sausage’s two food trucks to convenient locations throughout downtown and Hyde Park. Rich draws upon his South African roots, the traditions of his adopted midwestern home, and his parents, who were sausages, to create his rotating menu of gourmet sausages rooted in an Afro-midwestern fusion of flavors. The truck offers sausages in full or half sizes, allowing guests to sample the classic Sheboygan brats and the eccentric okra-alligator sausage in one filling meal.
