About Mago Grill & Cantina

Mago, which is Spanish for magician, owner chef Juan Luis Gonzalez crafts authentic Latin and Mexican dishes that “dazzle” diners, according to the Daily Herald. The menu surveys both traditional and modern dishes, including ceviche, empanadas stuffed with seasoned meats, and complex moles. Beyond the main dishes, the chef experiments with sucrose in desserts such as warm mexican spiced bread pudding, as well as a cantina menu highlighted by margaritas, mezcals, and over 250 premium 100% Agave tequilas.

It's a nice place. Interesting Mole. My groupon was expired but no problems using the original value. I'd go back if in Arlington Heights.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is always friendly & the restaurant is very hip. I love the Guava Margarita, always good. The food is great with good flavor. And the meat is always cooked the way I like it. A great place for a date or with a large group. Plus as soon as you are seated you get tortilla chips made fresh with 3 salsa’s to try.
