At The Comedy Bar, silly and subversive routines from veteran headliners and up and comers split sides inside their new home, Gino's East River North. Sometimes referred to as "Chicago's best kept secret" by the Society of People Who Can't Keep Secrets, The Comedy Bar boasts a third floor showroom that grants up-close views of comedians and features a loaded bar of craft beers, wine, and cocktail delights without the fuss of a drink minimum. The Comedy Bar recommends that guests arrive at least 20 minutes before each show so hosts can lead them to a cocktail table and they can tell everyone around them their life story.

Service was great, the comedians not so much except Mr. reef? He was funny they actually quit almost an hour early. The comedians Kept making comments about people, not knowing what was funny, but not trying to pivot and change up their show. I wish Mr red jacket would have just come out & finished the show. Seriously felt like we got shorted. I love comedy shows & have been to some not great shows but this was by far the worst.

The staff is very hospitable and the chicken tenders and fries are pretty good. I didn’t feel cramped even though the room isn’t huge. The room is also well lit. The mc was funny when I went. I’ll go back again sometime.
