From the deck of Tiki Boat Chicago’s 40-foot party barge, passengers can see landmarks such as Navy Pier and the Chicago River—or simply slide into the water below. Each boat is outfitted with a microwave, barbecue grill, coolers, float rafts, and a water slide, used for cooling off on hot days or poking icebergs on cold ones. While passengers play, the company’s US Coast Guard–licensed captains and their crews steer the barges from Monroe Harbor to scenic local destinations of the clients’ choice. The festive boat outings can showcase sunrises and sunsets seven days a week or, on select nights, a sky lit up with fireworks from May through September. These group outings may be used for a number of occasions, including bachelor and bachelorette parties, outings with coworkers, or family gatherings.
