The Deal

$33 for private music lessons or private vocal lessons (up to $72 value)

This Groupon is valid for your choice of the following:

  • Three 30-minute private guitar lessons
  • Three 30-minute private piano lessons
  • Two 45-minute private vocal lessons

Degreed instructors impart basic and advanced lessons in guitar, piano, and vocals in a variety of styles, including rock, alternative, blues, folk, jazz, and classical. 30-minute instrumental lessons focus on theory, technique, and sight-reading, while 45-minute vocal tutorials help students improve their range, breathing, and style.

The Ultimate School of Guitar

Sure, several of the Ultimate School’s instructors were classically trained at storied institutions such as Berklee and Columbia. Several more, though, sharpened their strum in a variety of Chicago bands. Owner and operator Hollis Hahn, for example, logged time in Jezebel’s Church and Eden before opening the school ten years ago. This diversity in talent reflects the curriculum, which enhances classic training with the kind of prowess one only gleans onstage. Private lessons are tailored to each student’s age, musical interests, and vocal range. The school, which overlooks the lake, is minutes from downtown.

Customer Reviews

It helps if you have your own guitar. Then, you don't have to pay equipment rental fee and gives you the opportunity to practice with your guitar. It was a nice experience.
