Chef Ramon Gomez knows steak. The culinary master behind Center Cut Steakhouse by Gourmet San Diego ages select cuts before expertly grilling them over mesquite coals, a process that infuses the meat with smoky, savory flavor. Those skills are showcased in everything from tender prime rib to bone-in ribeyes. And though steak is the star here, plates feature fresh vegetables, hearty pastas, and fine sauces as well. A wine list with thoughtfully selected bottles provides plenty of options for pairing.
Diners sip and savor in an atmosphere decorated with chalkboard artwork and vibrant red drapes. The soundtrack isn't limited to just the sounds of clinking wineglasses and yells of "Yum!"; musicians also play on select dates.
The restaurant is open for lunch and also available for corporate meetings and private parties.
