The tour was light on Architectural info. It also needed more depth of site visits.

My boyfriend and I REALLY enjoyed this tour. Mike was very informative and was willing to speak with me for quite a while after the tour (I'm interested in setting up a walking tour to revitalize downtown Middletown - a small city about 45 mins away). Arnolds was a fantastic venue for the starting and stopping point - the boyfriend and I were able to sit down and have a beer together and even considered staying around for dinner afterwards, so the tour made a great date activity. Mike wasn't hokey or cheesy in his presentation but was well able to draw in the audience and keep us actively engaged. I would have loved to have gone into more buildings but the tour was well timed and not too much of a trek. Parking was fantastic. Between the time of day and the location we were able to get parked quickly right around the corner in an actual parking lot. It was also an easy drive to and from the highway. We both loved the tour and have been recommending it to our friends. I would definitely do another tour with this company.

A great time! The tour guide (Mike Morgan) was amazing-- knowledgeable, entertaining, and really funny. I will be recommending this tour (as terrifying as the stair climb to the old beer cave was, ha) to everyone I know.

This is history that you do not find in your school history books. Very insightful and brings you back in time of the way of life that Cincinnati use to be. Amazing. I would recommend this to everyone.

From Our Editors

Imagine standing on the courthouse steps where dozens of Cincinnatians were slain during a riot in 1884. Or looking down an unlit tunnel burrowed to sustain the black-market trade of alcohol during the Prohibition. The guides behind Queen City History & Education Ltd. illuminate both the highs and lows of Over-the-Rhine’s and downtown’s history through walking tours designed by local attorney and real-estate agent Michael Morgan, author of Over-the-Rhine: When Beer Was King. They also host lectures and educational seminars that promote the preservation of Cincinnati’s historical structures. To further strengthen that goal, the company donates a percentage of it proceeds to the Brewery District CURC, a nonprofit that supports the redevelopment of Over-the-Rhine. Additionally, the foundation works to preserve the area’s architectural and cultural brewing heritage by placing a bubbling cauldron on every corner.
