Q&A with Andrea Thompson, Stylist
Do you or your staff have any special certifications or degrees?
I have an instructor license in cosmetology, several certifications from natIonal brands of keratin smoothing—including Chi, Pravana and Enjoy—and color education including Joico, Paul Mitchell, Goldwell, Wella, and Rusk. I also have specialized training at the Dudley Academy for textured/curly hair.
Out of your entire repertoire, which is your favorite service to perform and why?
Color. It is the best way to change your look, whether the change is bold or subtle.
What steps do you take to make your clients feel at ease?
I listen to each client's needs, then try to create a look that fits their lifestyle. I show them easy tips on how to re-create a look at home.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
I am a multi-culture stylist with almost 20 years of experience. Curly hair is my specialty.
