Like several other users, I found this business through a Groupon. I can't believe that this place is so close to my house and had no idea it was there.
Even though it was short notice, I texted the number on their website for an appointment on Saturday, but was told the next appointment wasn't for another week and another a week after that. Kind of a bummer, but it's my fault that I've been waiting so long to make the appointment, right? Lo and behold, I receive a text Friday evening about coming in at 8am the next morning for an open appointment. Heck yes, I will, even if it's earlier than I wanted to be up on a Saturday.
I show up and the technician gets right to work. We chat about colors and designs, and get to know each other a little bit. Ellie tells me about her business and explains why she uses text messaging for appointments instead of a phone call. While a bit unorthodox, I can totally understand why she chooses to operate the way she does, and it's her business, so who am I to complain?
The shop is small, located at the back corner of a strip mall between the scuba center and a mom-and-pop waffle place. As I said above, if I didn't know what I was looking for, I would have missed the place. According to her menu, Ellie offers a decent range of services from nails to lashes, hair and waxing.
I didn't get anything other than a gel manicure and within 30 minutes or so, Ellie was all done with me. Despite the quickness, however, this is the first time I've ever left a nail salon (even ones with more frills) completely satisfied with the service I received. I felt like I was just hanging out on a Saturday morning with a friend, which is something I didn't realize I wanted out of a nail tech.
Don't let the hidden location, lack of space, or unorthodox booking methods of Simply Enchanted turn you off. Go in, spend some time there, and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
