The Fight for Air Climb is a fight for many things. It's a fight for those afflicted with lung cancer. It's a fight for infants and older children stricken with asthma. It's a fight to prevent kids from ever falling into the peer pressures of smoking, and it's fight for those with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The fight isn't easy. In fact, it's a total body workout that tests the lungs, stamina, and shoe soles. But it rewards all who participate, and helps to make the world a better place to inhale.
Like ascending an indoor mountain or scaling a concrete beanstalk, the Fight for Air Climb starts participants of all ages at the base of Cleveland's massive 52-story skyscraper, Terminal Tower. Step by step and floor by floor, without the benefit of escalators, elevators, or Fizzy Lifting Drink, altruistic athletes, youngsters, and senior citizens torch calories and thank their capacious lungs as they march to the top tiers of the tower. And for those who want to maximize their exercise experience, a training guide is on hand with tips on how to achieve fitness goals.
