The food was very bland, no seasoning. We ordered the french dip and it was very small, and on a very tiny bun, not bread like you normally find being used when making a french dip. Was kind of like eating one at Arby's. No flavor in the Au Jus. I felt bad for the owners. There is so much potential, the staff is wonderful, good location. I used to love the Mason Jar, but I don't see us coming back again.....

Great food and service. Keep up the good work. Waitress was very personable and the manager came to our table inquiring about our experience. Would recommend and will return.

Allow for one piece of cornbread per diner. Also, moderate your prices downward.

From Our Editors

Fried and specially seasoned, hand-breaded and tossed in Frank's sauce, or doused in made-from-scratch cream gravy—if there's a way to make chicken, The Mason Jar's chefs have mastered it. That mastery extends to other staples of American comfort food, including catfish fried in a crispy cornmeal coating, corned beef and sauerkraut sandwiched between slices of pumpernickel rye, and buttermilk-crusted fruit cobblers for dessert. Modeled after a Colorado lodge, The Mason Jar's dining room complements its dishes with wood paneling and exposed brick, a cozy fireplace, and chandeliers made with deer antlers donated by Bambi.
