Conflicted. The massage itself was really good, but the scheduling/location wasn't so good. She cancelled on me twice. The first time, less than an hour before the appointment. Both time with legitimate reasons (car broke down, kid was sick), but after the second time, I emailed her to be like, hey. No problem on the cancellations but is there a better time for you than the time I've been requesting (late AM)? I'm pretty flexible.
No response from her.
Also, every time I rescheduled through her website, I had to do it three weeks out. She wasn't like, "I'm so sorry for canceling, I can squeeze you in this week." No accommodations were made. She offered me an extra 10-15 minutes at no extra charge after the first cancellation, though, which I was never able to redeem.
The story marches on.
I got to her massage studio a few minutes after our appointment start time (but less than 5 minutes late). She told me that I was supposed to arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointment to fill out paper (which I should have anticipated), but I didn't, so she won't be able to give me the free 15 minute add-on she offered for her canceling the first appointment. 1) Her place is pretty hard to find. It's not off the main road, but in a cul-de-sac, so perhaps she should include driving instructions in her welcome email. 2) It is not mentioned in her welcome email/appointment reminder email or the Groupon reminder email OR mentioned by her online scheduler when you make the appointment that she needs you to fill out a form 15 minutes before your appointment time so I had no idea I was supposed to show up early.
The massage bed was not heated so I was pretty chilly the whole time. The room smelled like potpourri. Just lacked a few of the nicer touches I've had in massages in the past.
So while the massage itself was really good, everything else (scheduling, finding her place, the conditions of the room) weren't great and I wouldn't go back because of these things.
