The show was good. The food at the hotel was TERRIBLE. Highly recommend moving to a location where you can actually eat the dinner included in the Dinner Detective Show.
DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS TO THIS EVENT, EVER!!!
I would not even give this a one star review if I had an option for zero. I bought tickets through Groupon. $98. Then when I go to schedule the event I had to pay another $18 in fees on the Dinner Detective website. I schedule this event for my birthday. Well unfortunately I have spent the entire weekend ill at home after several trips to urgent care. What the venue tells me is because I do not possess the ability to see the future and know when I am going to be out of commission from illness is that they are going to take my money and not provide me with any service whatsoever. For whatever reason if you do not reschedule at least 7 days in advance you are locked in, as if they have prepared their meals and assigned all their theatrics before the night of the event. Basically what they are telling me is they will go broke as a business because two guests have to reschedule so they have to steal my almost $120 in order to stay afloat and make up for the cost of the two meals they haven't cooked yet and the actors that they are paying regardless of whether or not they have the venue sold out. So their solution to my issue is to say that they would be glad to schedule another day, for $40 per person... meal only with no show. So what do they do, feed us for $40 per person and then kick us out so we don't partake in any entertainment? They don't have a policy like any other normal business where you can reschedule for a small fee. If you are within 7 days of the show and end up with an emergency hospitalization you better kiss your $120 goodbye as well. I have never in my entire life spent over $100 and received absolutely nothing in return. This scamming shady nightmare they call a theatre should not even be allowed to be in business.
So much fun and laughter, very interactive, and the actors literally fool you until the end. Piece of advice: talk to everybody. Definitely doing this next year, looking forward to it!
The theatrics was most excellent!!!
