What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Black Art in America (BAIA) is a purveyor of African-American art. Our site, BlackArtInAmerica.com, is a platform for African-American artists past and contemporary, providing media focused on trends relative to African-American art and culture. BAIA is based online and hosts fine-art shows nationally.
Of the products you sell, which are your favorites?
BAIA specializes in the sale of African-American art and sells select ad space on BlackArtInAmerica.com tailored to our 25,000-plus member base. In addition to these services, we also provide media services and destination packages.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
BAIA satisfies a niche market among collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts. Serving as a resource for education on and acquisition of African-American art, BAIA also provides representation for African-American artists and news coverage with a focus on African-American art and culture.
What do you love most about your job?
At Black Art in America, we cherish being able to work directly with artists, collectors, and fellow art enthusiasts. In addition to that, the services provided by BAIA enable our team members to preserve, document, and promote African-American culture.
