This is my second trip there and this time was even better than the first which was fantastic. The best shrimp & grits!! I love the decor, drinks - everything about this place.
Pear desert was terrible. 4 of us at the table tasted. All declined a second taste. This hurts their rating. Dinner was ok
Always like the atmosphere.
Great service, great food. Knowledgeable help and very friendly
Fantastic weekday lunch spot. We had ordered the Shrimp Po’ boy and the Pork Belly sandwich, both were outstanding as was the mixed greens salad. The bartender/waiter handled 5-7 tables with no effort,he was a true professional. We will definitely ad this to our “visit again” list. Perhaps the net time for dinner and drinks.
Great Drinks and the Bartender was awesome!
Very friendly, food yummy. Recommend Crawfish Etoufee and scrumptious corn muffins, hot out of the oven.
Excellent dinner. Recommend the beet salad. Staff was great.
The atmosphere is great. The owner/ server/bar tender is so personable. He has ALWAYS made us feel special. The food is great. One WONT be disappointed when they visit🦐(crawfish) ❤️❤️❤️
Great food, atmosphere and service.
The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and well trained. Love this establishment.
From Our Editors
The Blind Lady Tavern occupies a space that's been one bar or another since 1831, and it has all the trappings one would expect from such an old building: a wood bar, an absinthe fountain, a Prohibition-era vibe, and a ghost who's reportedly been hanging around since 1858. In addition to the brick-and-mortar establishment's past, the cocktail bar also carries another torch of history: that of the prior tenant, a bar called the Jury Room. In both name and substance, the Blind Lady Tavern has continued its predecessor's theme of justice, perhaps most notably with its cocktail list. Drinks like the Law and Order, Under Oath, and Impeachment—made with scotch, peach liqueur, honey, lemon, and basil—are enough of a reason to stop into the Blind Lady Tavern for a visit. Likewise, a menu of burgers, shrimp and grits, crawfish étoufée, and the like are designed to give the neighborhood an easily accessible menu of classic American comfort food.
