Do not go here! They are going out of business.
We were literally the only table in the entire restaurant. Expand your happy hour to include upscale drinks and appetizers. We came to the Black Olive every Friday for happy hour and would return if the happy hour menu was better at China Bar. We love the decor. of the China Bar and the location is awesome.
We were very dissappointed. we wanted tea and they didn't have any, other that a breakfast tea and one green tea. My meal was good but my friend's food tasted soured. Good portions and good service. We asked for a fortune cookie and they didn't have those either. Said they had been out since the holidays!! Seems like they might be going out of business
When I got my drink they were out of an ingredient to make it. When I ordered my food they were out of shrimp. My food was good but I they managment needs to get much better.
Update menus, item still on menu not available anymore....plus was out of duck entree and crab rangoon all together was awaiting shipment...rather disapointing, waiter tried to be informative as possible and level of service was great. Just wish I could have had the meal I wanted.
A little disappointed that so many menu items were not "available".
The only waiter working had never made any of the Martinis before, he had to keep calling the manager over from two fish over(sister resturaunt). They still tasted terrible and it was $8 to boot. Some of the food was not what we expected and that stunk. Crab Rangoon was delicious. Love the atmosphere but that because Black Olive was a favorite of mine, and their chain of resturaunts actually. Sadly, I'll probably never return to China Bar.
The restaurant itself is attractive. It was completely empty (Wednesday night) when we arrived but 2 other couples came before we left. Apparently China Bar & Two Fish Bistro share staff because the "chef" ran from across the street, which is where the manager had to come from to redeem our Groupon. Our crab rangoon was burnt but the waitres said they're made-to-order. The chef brought out the greenbean appetizer and apologized. Our dinners were acceptable but I can get the same at Panda Express.
Although the menu was extensive with a lot of variety everything we ordered was too salty. We had the Coconut Vegetable stir fry, scallops, won ton soup and calamari. Everything would have been so much better had it not been overwhelmed with salt.
