Nice museum. It would have been nice of some of the displays actually told you what there were and where they came from. Many of them did not.

I hadn't been to the Ohio History Museum for more than 20 years. We arrived about 2:00 and spent three hours in the museum. I hope to return and tour the village.

Real nostalgia trip taking my young children to the place that was my all-time favorite field trip venue some forty years ago when I was their age.. Disappointed the Col Crawford Restaurant is no longer open. Would love to come for Xmas activities there but just expensive for our little family of four. I wish the Village could be expanded to include overnight opportunities, either for families or group/scout trips. How fun to be able to dress the part and actually become part of the time travel, rather than just viewing it. Thank you to all the volunteers and employees who keep the place going. Very nice added touch to have the hotdog cart vendor in the park during the Base Ball games.

Very nice place. Lots to see. Loved the village. Hadn't been to museum in over 30 years so village was new for us!

Although the Ohio Historical Museum was interesting and was a good reflection of Ohio history, I'll have to say the place could use some attention. I went into a bathroom that was filthy...so gross. The displays behind cases were visibly dusty, dirty and in some cases, in poor condition. I'm thinking mostly of the "stuffed" animals in the various habitat displays.

As homeschoolers, my children and I always enjoy visiting the OH History Society as a supplement to our history curriculum!

From Our Editors

Here, a 19th-century Ohio town has been recreated, complete with authentic buildings, such as a schoolhouse and freight office. Staff members in period costumes roam the cobbled streets to share stories with visitors, and also invite kids and parents to play period games like hoop rolling.
