City of the Dead Haunted House features three distinct sections: the zombie-infested City of the Dead featuring Dead Rising Haunted House, the vampire-run funeral parlor Curse of Darkness featuring the brand new Dark Souls Haunted House, and the twisted Carnival of Carnage. That's more than 30,000 square feet of territory full of corpses and ghouls wandering about and terrorizing visitors.
City of the Dead's scope isn't the only thing responsible for the awards and recognitions from The Huffington Post, CBS News, and Haunted Attraction Magazine. Its story lines and details are equally responsible.
New builds for 2017 include Dead Rising and the Dark Souls haunted house. In the City of the Dead section, for example, visitors navigate an elaborately designed apocalyptic city filled with two-story buildings, crashed cars, and shuffling zombies. The Curse of Darkness set becomes a funeral parlor overrun by vampires and filled with bodies, while the Carnival of Carnage offers zombie-shooting games, fortune tellers, and a life-size game of Operation, plus beer and cocktails.
