It was way back in 1956 when Rick's Rather Rich Ice Cream first opened its doors. In the years since, the staff has changed, the decor has transformed, and the name has been simplified to Rick's Ice Cream. But the abundance of flavors, commitment to from-scratch recipes, and "rather rich" consistency has endured—and thrived.
Today, Rick's 48 flavors continue to wow locals in varieties such as rose, coffee molasses chip, and white chocolate ginger. While every customer has his or own favorite flavor, the menu continues to evolve, with options such as masala chai and mango available periodically. As if that weren't enough, today's portfolio of sweets also includes 20 types of ice-cream cakes, along with cupcakes, cookies, and pies crafted by hand.
