Obnoxious music, horrible atmosphere and decor. They say one maki is a snack and 2 are a full meal. Maybe for a 2 year old kid. The Makis are bite sized and to add to the insult your paying top dollar (7$ PER Maki), which means with every bite the frustration gets worse. With the 30$(15groupon bucks) for the groupon we had 2 Makis then got 2 more + the dessert Makis and ended up paying 20$ MORE + TIPS = 42$ for an empty stomac and horrible WTF experience. Afterwards we went next door to the Cheesecake Factory and had pasta and cheesecake for LESS money. I work in the grove and am never going back there. Only + was the nice cashier/waitress working there alone, she was very good.

Fish quality is not good. Limited fish options. It's Mall Sushi. Use the same eel sauce on all of the dishes.

We paid $28.00 for $60.00 worth of sushi for 4 people thinking that we all can eat a good amount of food for this price, at the end we end up paying $35.00 extra, to me this restaurant is a pricey each roll is about $ 7.50 and up if you have 3 rolls will cost you $25.00 each person. I personally won't eat there again since we are 4 in my family to us it's better to go to an actual Sushi restaurant and eat more for the price.

The food ordered should be served together/full.

From Our Editors

Though many Americans may not have heard of it, Makis Place—which goes by the motto "More fish. Less rice. Better price."—has experienced its share of success. In three years, the Japanese eatery expanded from one modest restaurant to more than 100 locations in Brazil. The company has now traveled northward to treat the States to its signature brand of temaki—a delectable sushi hand roll. Unlike the dainty hand rolls in most sushi restaurants, however, these ones weigh in at a hefty five ounces, or approximately the weight of an arcade game's take-home pay. The giant cones of supple seaweed, made only when they're ordered and ready in minutes, incorporate steamy rice and a variety of ingredients such as veggies, shrimp, salmon, or tuna. Fixings such as avocado, cheese, or a variety of sauces complete the morsel to create a hearty alternative to traditionally meager sushi portions.
