On the green indoor turf, one group of students performs lunges while holding weights high overhead. Just across the gym, another group strains to complete pull-ups. Everywhere you look at CrossFit VSP, you'll see students and instructors engaged in the many exercises of CrossFit.
There's a method to its madness, however. While priding themselves and community, safety, and cleanliness, the gym offers a system of constantly varied, functional movements, all of which are designed to bolster strength and stamina. Every day's workout is scalable to different fitness levels, so no student is left behind in the rush to complete each exercise. Even better—the constant variety means that no student is ever bored. Though CrossFit is widely used by athletes, it's also great for normal people who need strength for daily tasks such as pushing a full grocery cart through the neighbor's window.
