Even with a Groupon, the bill was still pricey. The quality of food didn't warrant the prices, but service was excellent.

I would have been more pleased if my server would have explained that cut rolls are only available in FULL size not HALF as the menu states.

The food was good. However the customer service would get a 1 out of 5... Me and my husband run into our friend at the Sushi Zen and wanted to catch up (i.e. sit at the same table). Both - me and my husband, and our friend had a Groupon that was valid only for that evening. We asked for a table and when we were seated - presented our Groupons to the server right away, and explained that we would like to share the table but the orders will be separate (we would like to be billed separatelly). Hence, our friend should have been able to use her Groupon like she intended, and we should have been able to use our Groupon like we intended. The server went to check with the manager - who came up to us in two minutes with a statement - "Do you want to leave? There are a lot of people waiting for this table..." For a second I didn't know what to say... I politely explained our situation again to the manager and she still insisted that because on their Groupon offer it says "one Groupon per table" we would have to sit at separate tables or use only one Groupon during our diner together. Still in shock and hungry, we decided to stay at the table (because the line up to be seated was getting very long and we didn't want to wait again). We ordered only $30 worth of food to use up our Groupon. Then our friend gave her Groupon to a couple in the line-up crowd because it was a Now! Deal and it was expiring that same day at midnight. And we went to a different sushi place afterwards. Me and my husband used to go to Sushi Zen quite often and we recommended this place to all our friends. After this incident - I doubt we'll ever go there again. The lack of understanding, how rude the manager was to us - completely tainted the image of Sushi Zen we had before.
