Right after we were seated, you seated a very loud 10 top right by us. And close to all of the other tables. In such a small space, they were so incredibly loud that we could hardly talk at our table. They should have been seated in the back section. Or all of the couples there for romantic dinner could have been seated around the "corner". Other than that, it was great!

We would have enjoyed our meal much more but there were some issues that made our experience less enjoyable. 1. Some of the dishes were "trying too hard". The pasta ravioli with pistachio sauce was delicious, but too salty. 2. The mahi-mahi was not cooked enough. 3. The lemon butter veal was far too lemony and buttery - I could barely eat it! 4. The live music was creepy with the altered lyrics featuring phrases such as "hot babes with long legs" and "chicks at tables" - I was offended and it certainly did not build a romantic mood. 5. The restrooms were not up to par although we were the first clients of the day - a tampon popped out of the toilet seat liners box and there was no toilet paper in the dispenser. For an $80 meal ($60 for the groupon and $20 for tax, tip, and 2 soft drinks) we left hungry, unsatisfied and feeling like we should pick up Whataburger on the way home. It is unfortunate but this restaurant appears to be a sinking ship and there are many reasons as to why this seems to be the case...

From Our Editors

Carlos Munoz greets patrons as they descend to his below-street eatery, d’Carlo Italian Restaurant, known for its mélange of northern and southern Italian dishes. In the kitchen, chefs bake five styles of pizza, stir seafood into cioppino and risotto, and hand-craft potato gnocchi. Meals round out with a lengthy wine list, featuring a boutique Italian wine collection as refined as the contents of the flask Michelangelo’s David has inconspicuously held for centuries.
