Riska Crowder's first attempt at cosmetology didn't turn out so well—as a kid, she hacked off her cousin's ponytail and ruined her big sister's make-up. Fortunately, her mother attributed the mishaps to the creative experimentation of youth and encouraged her to continue. That support kindled her passion, helping Riska transition from childhood to career while racking up multiple licenses and degrees in cosmetology along the way.
Despite her own hard work and artistry, Riska still describes her favorite part of her job as "making women happy about their desired look." Today, she earns her fame extending eyelashes one lash at a time with glue-on grafts of materials ranging from faux mink fur to real human hair. She also beautifies the skin with custom make-up applications, teasing out natural beauty with judicious spots of bright color.
