For over half a century, The Denver Greek Festival has celebrated Colorado's Hellenic heritage with food, dance, and song. Amid pans of flaming saganaki cheese, nimble folk dancers, and bazaars full of imported art and jewelry, visitors enjoy a full sensory experience of Greek culture. Here's just a taste of what to expect at this year's celebration:
The Food: Chefs dish out a tempting spread of Greek specialties, from flaky, honey-covered baklava, to savory dips, or chicken wings seasoned with lemon, oregano, and tzatziki.
The Music: Live music acts entertain and enrich crowds with the sounds of traditional Greek songs. Enjoy performances from the Assumption Cathedral Choir, Etho Ellas, and Marmatakis/Papadais
The Culture: In addition to the food and music, The Denver Greek Festival preserves the area's Greek traditions with informative tours of the beautiful Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
