From Our Editors
Burnt Barrel isn’t your usual sports bar. Sure, there are multiple high-def TVs playing all manner of games, but rooting for the home team is just one part of the experience here. The bar puts an equal emphasis on the curated selection of bottles behind the bar and the expertly crafted dishes coming out of the kitchen. Cooks create a lineup of Colorado-inspired plates—including trout po’ boys and beer brats with brown ale mustard and shoestring onions—alongside gourmet burgers and classic (and classy) takes on pub grub finger foods.
Bartenders, meanwhile, handcraft cocktails using a wide variety of local spirits, such as Copper Muse Bacon-Infused Vodka, Woody Creek Rye, and Leopold Brothers Small Cask Whiskey. Of course, they also furnish glasses with plenty of Colorado-born beers, from Denver IPAs to Vanilla Porters out of Aurora.
