She has the worst bedside manner ever. She is rude, judgmental and a gossipy name dropper . I wouldn't be surprised if she is out of business by spring. She is just awful

Rushed appointment and poor quality work that peeled off later that same day.

I bought a $17 gel manicure with complimentary champagne. This was a very sub-par experience and I will never go back nor ever recommend this place to anyone. I typically get gel manicures every 2 weeks at a different local nail shop. It always includes removal of old gel, cuticle trim, nail filing, hand massage and new gel application. At Clayton's, I arrived on time, but the lady was running late. She was in her running clothes and thought that was funny. The whole place feels pretty janky and her manicure station is really just her product counter and it was FILTHY. The girl ( I think she was the owner? but she never introduced herself) was running late and then seemed upset with me when she saw my hands and realized she had to remove old gel. She informed me that she may not have time and I should have told her when I first walked in. She also informed me there would be a $10 up-charge to soak off the old gel, even though the groupon said nothing about this not being included. This was NOT a manicure. All she did was soak off the old gel, trim my nails down and then unskillfully and unevenly file them, then without my washing my hands to remove file dust or even wiping off the dust and nail trimmings off the counter, reapply new gel. The application was sloppy and it actually all peeled off the very next day. The gel was over my cuticles and off the sides of the nail beds on several fingers. There was NO treatment of the cuticles, massage, lotion application, etc. The girl was very friendly but very flighty and unprofessional. She checked her cell phone several times during the appointment, her station was dirty, her skills were below average and she was very disorganized. It just was not worth the money at all. I did end up leaving a tip, just because that's how I am. I always tip. When the gel all came off the next day, I seriously considered asking for a refund, but have just decided to not be bothered by it all. However, I will never go back to this janky "spa" (really its just a dirty room in the back and upstairs of an old building) and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. So I ended up paying $27 total to have gel reapplied that came right off the next day. Standard for a complete "spa" manicure taround town is $25-$30. This was NOT a good groupon deal. Oh yeah, and there was NEVER any mention whatsoever of champagne. Honestly, I'm OK with that now. I'd have been afraid it would be cheap old flat soda water anyway.

It was an awful experience. When I got to the salon, it was closed so I had to call the hair styler and she told me to wait for her at Starbucks. She was 45 minutes late and when we finally met she was with a bad attitude saying that she was gonna spend the whole afternoon doing my hair. I bought a groupon to get a Brazilian Blow out and I repeated the hair styler that I wanted a Brazilian Blow out but she waited until she finished the treatment to tell me she had done the Agave Smoothing treatment because she thought it was better. My hair ended up looking worse than before, it felt hard and looked frizzy and until today, after one week, it has a bad smell.

she seemed very rushed. She was working with beauty scfrohooul students who had no idea what they were doing. The girl had difficulty removing last gel polish and left my nails bumpy. She did not push back or trim my cuticles. And they only had about four very pale colors.

I was a little disappointed in the fact that what the groupon listed (champagne and wax) was not provided. The wax wasn't heated up and I was never offered the champagne and it felt like the manicure was rushed because of other clients coming in. I don't want to give a bad review, but if the company isn't going to deliver what is promised (stated in coupon) that is no fault of the customer. One good note - they seemed personable and the facility was clean. I might go back, but they would have to step up their game for me to pay full price...

I had previously gone into this shop about 1 month before my Groupon manicure. I was in there for an eyebrow wax, I thought the owner, Shantal, was a little strange, but she did an ok job on the brows. However, I did go in for the manicure and AWFUL experience. Shantal, the owner, was to give me my $25 manicure plus a glass of champagne. She apparently "only does hair", so she stared at my previous gel manicure and wanted to soak them off. I told her I wanted to grow them out and NOT to soak them. I really had to be firm, as she kept insisting that they get soaked. But, eventually, she just cut my nails, then proceeded to file them with a nail file that looked like it came from a travel kit. Needless to say, it hardly did the trick. She then remembered that I was to get a glass of champagne, gave it to me, then put my hands in the hot wax paraffin bath! ( how do I drink from my glass???) Then she took the wax off, and decided that "maybe" I should have a coat of clear polish put on?? Like she was asking ME what to do. She didn't file my gel growth out or put anything on to fill in my gaps. She has no business doing manicures, I don't think she's even been trained in it. Again, her tools looked like they came out of my grandmother's medicine cabinet. Her next appointment was only 5 minutes late, but apparently that's the only excuse she needed to leave, so she shooed me out the door and said, oh well, my next appointment is late, guess I'll go get lunch. Didn't even finish the champagne.. Awful service, do not use this spa.
