Although the portion of filet was very generous in size compared to most places and the meal itself was tasty, the plates were dirty (4 of the first 5 I tried at my table), the service was lacking (the chef was wonderful - servers, managers, not as much), and the lack of cleanliness overall in the restaurant.

Made reservations, place was empty but took 20 minutes to sit us at table. Service was extremely slow. Would never go back.

Nice place, entertaining chef, but food was just good. Would have liked choice of different soup. Only one was offered in the hibachi.

My only complaint is that the service was slow. It took quite a while from the time we were seated around the hibachi table for the actual chef to start cooking.

Service was excellent, love the all you can eat sushi on thurs nights. We plan on coming for this on a regular basis. The sashimi platter was a little too small for $23, can have more variety. I would also like some eel and hand rolls added to the all you can eat sushi on thurs

Would not recommend. Food was bland and mediocre at best. Portion size was small too. Would not go back.

From Our Editors

One of the quicker ways to acclimate yourself to Reimei’s contemporary Japanese cuisine is to order the sushi pizza—it’s a scallion pancake that’s cut into triangles and loaded with chunks of spicy tuna, mango, and avocado. As a matter of fact, avocados are a fixture at the sushi bar, where chefs make use of them in 12 of the 14 specialty rolls (you also can choose ingredients to create your own roll). Other contemporary takes on Asian staples include fried rice served with lobster or taiwanese sausage, and prawns topped with macadamia nuts and honey.

An alternative to these offerings is Reimei’s hibachi cuisine. In a room with 10 grilling stations, skilled chefs spin their spatulas and perform culinary tricks as they prepare meat-heavy dishes such as swordfish, smoked duck, chilean sea bass, and maine lobster tail.
