Berevino Cucina & Wine Bar

"Bere vino" is Italian for "drinking wine," so it's a perfectly fitting name for Berevino Cucina & Wine Bar. Wine may not be all they offer, but it's certainly one of their most abundant specialties; their wine list is full of vintages from Italy, France, and the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. If vino doesn't tempt you, there's also a full list of house specialty cocktails, including their Limoncello Raspberry Martini and Roman Mint Mojito. Of course, their "cucina"—Italian for kitchen—keeps stomachs full with a full range of Italian dishes from pasta and pizzas to fish and steaks. Their specialties include classic carbonara, slow-cooked spaghetti bolognese, and the delectable savory-yet-sweet butternut gnocchi, served in a browned garlic butter and topped with crushed walnuts. Morning people can even stop by for a brunch of Caprese Eggs Benedicts served on a toasted garlic baguette and washed down with bottomless mimosas or bellinis.

"Very Good Italian, Friendly Staff Yet Not Crowded"
I think Berevino is underrated. The food is always good. Fresh and tasty. The olive oil and garlic for the bread is great. And the service is always friendly and fast. I don't understand why it doesn't seem to get crowded. It has all the ingredients to be a favorite.

"Good Food/Wine"
Attended a business dinner with 10-12 people. The staff/kitchen managed the size of our party with no trouble at all. The wine selection was great. The food was really good. The restaurant was also reasonable priced.

"Good Italian"
Stopped for a late lunch on the way home from San Francisco. The restaurant was not very crowded and outside there were 2 occupied tables. The service was very slow. The water and bread came quickly but that was all. Our drinks and the fried calamari were about a half hour after that and ... Read More
