Almost zero safety instructions and there were little kids with the group. No check in. It felt very unorganized.

This may be for a more experienced kayaker. I had never kayaked before & had trouble keeping up with the group. The "caves weren't quite so exciting as advertised; just erosion from the rock, only a few feet in. My daughter & son-in-law, however, had a very good time. If you enjoy kayaking, this would be great for you. But the parking was terrible. This area is all private & no one wants you parking in front of their homes. We had to park about 1/4 to 1/2 mile down the road.

Very fun, even if we had to turn back cause of the weather.

Apostle Island Tours is very unprofessional. This was my first time using this company (used another company for a different sea cave tour, so I have something to compare to). Staff were smoking and I saw several beer bottles amongst staff - our guide was using both the whole tour (don't think about drowning now, you'd be on your own)! Staff were friendly but didn't really know how to set up kayaks for users. Zero safety instruction nor splash skirts, which is inadvisable since Lake Superior can be choppy and your kayak could flip on you! In the end the kayak was fine and the caves are beautiful of course, but I wouldn't use this company again. Please train staff better. Owner of company was also seen the following day with pants falling off and unzipped in a shop in public. Again, lack of professionalism to say the least.

Very chill group I expected sea kayaks, spray skirts, and pointers as the water is so cold up here. We had sit on top kayaks (which was fine) again very laid back, chill, paddle perhaps not as professional but beautiful none the less.

We were booked for 11am, which I text them around 10:15 to ask if it was going out because it was raining a bit.. They said it was cancelled.. We decided to find the spot anyways, make sure we know where it is and then come back for the 2pm.. We got there about 11:15 and were told that we just missed the 11am and that it actually wasn't cancelled. The 2pm turned to 3 and only were out for 1 hr.

The experience of kayaking the Lost creek caves was fun but this company is extremely difficult to reach. All communication was through text and took days for them to respond. The guide was nice but offered no safety instruction for beginners within our groups. Overall enjoyable but lacking customer service.
