Had the Brazilian done this afternoon. My hair looks and feels great - Got the ends trimmed but I am sorry I don't have plans tonight to show it off. I will definitely be going back in July for my next treatment.

I'm writing through my fiancés Groupon, he got me the Brazilian blowout and I've had it done before at the same place. Tresses and Colours has literally saved my hair and have always done an amazing. They did my ombré back in September and it still looks great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

First let me say the stylist and her two assistants were very nice. I even had a very embarrassing issue where I misread my Groupon and thiught I could use it for my daughter and myself. I had purchased the 3 pack for the Brazilian Blowouts but they expire in April. When making the appointment I had stated I was going to use one on my daughter since I would not be able to use 3 in that time frame since they last upto 12 weeks and I had used my first one in January. In all fairness to the assistant on the phone I never specifically stated it was the 3 pack and she thought I was talking about the 1 pack and thought I had 3 of them. So after we had our hair done I went to pay with the groupon where they pointed out that I could not use it for my daughter. I completely understood my error and went to pay with a creditcard. I had no idea that the salon only accepts cash for hair procedures. I had only brought a hundred dollars in cash with me and that would cover the service. I had no cash left for the tip. I also do not have a pin number for my credit card so could not even run next door to use the atm. I was extremely embarrassed but have to say the owner handled it very well told me not to worry at all about it. She handled the situation very professionally. That is why I went back and fourth about reviewing the way the service was done. Everyone was so nice it makes it hard but the procedure for the Brazilian Blowouts were not done correctly. I have had this procedure done over 7 times and this is not the correct way to do it. We were there for 1230 til 4 and out of all that time the stylist and assistants only spent maybe 20 mins at most touching our hair. Most of the time is spent under the bonnet dryer which you will not find as a direction anywhere in the Brazilian Blowout. After the solution is placed on the head (it is to be sectioned and put on throughout the head which was not done in my case only small section in the back and then the rest was put on the top front section of my hair and combed through) the hair is supposed to be blown straight keeping the hair as straight as possible. When they put me under the dryer the hair dried naturally and was scrunched up into a hairclip this whole process is defeated. I do understand that the stylist was taking a shortcut and trying to find a way to not have to blow dry the hair because of the fumes and it is a small area but this greatly changes the outcome. The next step is to flat iron the hair in 2-3 inch sections going over each strand at least 5-7 times with a flat iron that is set anywhere from 380 to 450. My daughts and my hair are both in very good condition and it should have been set to 450 degrees for both. I am not positive but the flat iron that was being used was the same for all the clients often during my daughters flatiron process it was being passed from the assistant to the stylist for another client who had only had her hair colored and then back to the assistant to finish her side of my daughters head at no time did any of them loom at the iron to see what setting it was at. So it only leaves me to believe it was not set at the right setting which again effects the outcome. The two assistants worked together on the flat iron step. the hair was not sectioned into small sections nor was each strand passed 5 to 7 times. For a straighter appearance each 2-3 inch section should be passed over 7 or more times(this statement comes right from the instructions. I do know this is not a straightner but it does relax the curl as well if you wear it curly make it frizz-free) This step is very important to do correctly as it completely seals in the product. The assistance worked quickly and well together but did large sectiond and passed the hair once maybe twice if it was still frizzy. The nape of my neck and my daughters was missed. I am sure the assistants are only doing what they have been told because the only certificate from the Brazillian Blowout on the wall had the name Lois in it (which I am guessing was the stylist name)so they would not know the official steps or the importance of each step. After this step they put the rinsed the hair and put the mask on rinsed then back under the dryer for another half hour the a quick flat iron again. I waited two days to get my hair wet in hopes that these shortcuts did not effect the outcome but sad to say they did. My hair actually seems more frizzy then before I had it done here. My daughter who was so excited to have this done ended up the same way (I have curly hair my daughter has slightly wavy hair) I have two vouchers left that I will bever use because the service is done completely wrong. I also contacted info@brazillianblowout who also confirmed that these steps are wrong and completely change the effect it is supposed to have on the hair. So in the end I would not recommend having the Brazilian Blowout done at this salon although the price is wonderful you are not gett

The owner does not keep cards on individual hair colors and my 2nd blond touch up turned out brown!!! She tried to fix it with hi-lights but that didn't cover all the brown. I ended up going somewhere else for my hair touch ups. jThe brazillion only lasted about 6 weeks
