From Our Editors
For 30 years, The Tibet Fund, in partnership with the Central Tibetan Administration, has helped to finance and administer an array of economic, education, and healthcare initiatives in Tibetan refugee communities as part of its broader mission to preserve the culture and identity of the Tibetan people. You can read more about the history of the organization and the Tibetan diaspora here. The Tibet Fund’s newest pilot project is a Business Process Outsourcing program in Bylakuppe, a rural settlement in southern India. Its goal is to establish a full-service company that provides remote business operations functions such as data entry and web development. The program will provide a facility and valuable skills training as well as marketing the company's services. Ultimately, the mission of Business Process Outsourcing in Bylakuppe is to create vocational and income opportunities that can extend to other settlements and contribute to long-term stability.
