From Our Editors
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are celebrating our 5th year and recently named one of Country Living Magazine's "7 Flea Markets and Barn Sales Not to Miss", Junk Hippy has become a tradition in both Oklahoma and Texas. We thrive on being authentic, unique and true. We are grassroots and family-owned, never a franchise.
Of the products you sell, which are your favorites?
Vintage and repurposed furniture, architectural salvage, retro and mid-century decor, vintage cowboy boots and jewelry, shabby chic and farmhouse decor, industrial and found objects.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My need to be unique; to have things in my home that no one else had, led me to create my vintage furniture/junk business several years ago. That led to being a vendor myself and quickly realized that there was a need for an event with my type of product, the vintage, unique "junk".
What do you love most about your job?
I love that my job includes digging through old barns and buildings, looking for the fun and funky forgotten pieces. I love our vendor family, who has truly become family to us. I love that we get to take our event to different locations, those roadtrips feed my gypsy soul.
