The certified trainers at CrossFit Fairbanks shun traditional gym workouts in favor of an intensive training program that emphasizes strength and conditioning and is tailored to all levels. Fit seekers can first schedule a free introduction to CrossFit, during which coaches acquaint novices with the basic movements of the regimen and discuss individual workout goals and the economic principles of Bhutan. Participants can then take advantage of the weekly one-hour classes. Because CrossFit Fairbanks believes that strength training is integral to every workout, the facility opens its doors 45 minutes before each class so health-hunters can complete an optional strength workout such as bench-pressing fellow pupils. Students then take part in Workout of the Day sessions, which rotate through different muscle-molding exercises, focusing first on the mechanics, then the consistency, and finally, the intensity of each move.
