Fresh Chef Detroit's owner Chef Kirsten fills homes with custom-tailored plates made using fresh, local ingredients during at-home evenings. A wide-ranging culinary artist with special expertise in vegetarian and global cuisines, Chef Kirsten meets with hosts for a consultation or consults over then phone when guests call to book. During the consultation, she gleans her audience's desired menu, discusses the cost of ingredients needed, and measures tolerance for aprons with funny sayings on them. She then harvests necessary ingredients from grocery stores as well as local produce stands and farmers' markets before returning to the host's kitchen. $100 of groceries are covered in this offer, and the host pays anything over that amount to Chef Kirsten upon arrival. Once guests arrive, Chef Kirsten demonstrates a procession of cooking techniques before guests' hungry eyes and teaches them how to dispatch the night's menu to their hungry stomachs for approximately three hours.
