The facilities were very well maintained, especially considering the chemical properties of sulfur. It smells really bad-- cause it's sulfur. It stains the pools yellow, and there's mineral sheets in the water--again, cause it's sulfur. We had a wonderful time, and really appreciated the cleanliness of the shower/locker room. We will be returning (unfortunately without a groupon) for our next girls' weekend!

Even for $10 this place is not a great deal. It needs a renovation badly. Steam room didn't work. Mineral pools are not warm here, I'd guess about 75 degrees (in March). Locker room and showers aren't bad. You'll smell like sulfer. Do yourself a favor and take an Epsom salt bath at home.

My girlfriend and I went to the mineral pool and it was wonderful. They have beautiful landscaping and a really nice indoor area, like a bathhouse. You can get out of the sun there, change your clothes, take a shower, go to the bathroom, and they also have a sauna. The pool area could you use a paint job, but it still was really nice. There is a handicap ramp for you to get in the pool. However, I am disabled and sat on the bottom of the pool and could not get up. The pool is only about 18 inches deep. Then there is a pool with a top on it and it is slightly deeper. That is the area that the mineral springs comes out of. I would really like to spend the night there and make two days out of the pool. There is a tiki bar close by the pool area with a lot of motorcycle people. But we were there during the day and we had no problem. I don't know what that would be like at night. Enjoy.

From Our Editors

A happy accident made The Springs at Days Inn Fort Myers what they are today. In 1962, oil drillers had reached a depth of 1,000 feet underground when they stumbled upon a pool of hot, mineral-rich water. Today, visitors to the Days Inn can hop inside and take in the alleged healing properties of the 82-degree spring and its surrounding sediment. Nearby, a regular wading pool stands at the ready to cool off guests and offer respite from the sulfury smell of the springs.
